Caspio Security
Caspio Bridge customers enjoy state-of-the-art infrastructure that ensures high levels of protection and availability of data and applications. At Caspio, we know security is critical to you and that you trust us with your data and the operation of your applications. This is why we employ multiple layers of security and reliability measures.
Security and reliability layers and measures
Your data and applications are secured and protected through multiple layers:
Physical layer – Caspio's servers are housed in a state-of-the-art data-center facility in San Jose, California. The site deploys constant access control by means of security staff, palm-print verification, and picture IDs. The facility provides redundant electrical generators, backup climate control systems, and other equipment and systems that keep the servers continually up and running. Caspio owns and operates its own equipment.
Network layer – Caspio's network is protected by top-of-the line firewalls from industry-leading vendors. We employ security measures that go beyond what the industry deems satisfactory.
Internal Systems Security – Various security measures are employed and enforced inside of the perimeter firewalls. The exact nature of these measures is kept confidential.
Operating System Security - All operating systems are kept current with all the patches recommended by their vendors. All unnecessary users, protocols, and ports are disabled and monitored.
Database Security – Our databases can only be accessed through trusted authentication and are kept inside layers of protection.
Data Security - All data maintained in your Caspio Bridge account belong solely to you. Our employees do not have direct access to production equipment, except where necessary for system management, maintenance, monitoring, and backups. We do not outsource data management to service providers. Only qualified Caspio employees are allowed to access database servers, and only when their access is absolutely necessary. Our technical support engineers only log into your account when you specifically authorize them to do so, and only to resolve problems or issues reported by you.
Reliability and Backup – Our database infrastructure is clustered: if there is a hardware failure of any sort, other servers in the cluster automatically and immediately take over the work of the failed server. Mirrored and cold-backup servers are available to be deployed if necessary. We backup all data and applications daily or weekly (based on your service level) to disk and tape to minimize any risk of data loss.
Data Encryption - When you log into your Caspio Bridge account you have the option of secure login which enables 100% data encryption. When you deploy your DataPages on your web site, you have the option of securing them through the same industry-standard SSL security. This ensures secure data transfer between the user and our servers.
Caspio Bridge Authentication – All clients login to their Caspio Bridge accounts with a username and password. Caspio Bridge does not store sensitive user data in cookies or by other high-risk methods.
Web Application Security – You can activate Web User Authentication to protect DataPages that you deploy on your site. Every Caspio Bridge Online package is capable of managing an unlimited number of authenticated users.
Note: Use of the Caspio Bridge Online service is subject to the Caspio Bridge Online Terms of Service. Caspio may change its security infrastructure and practices from time to time.
